The Problem

The franchise had no dedicated digital presence — fans were relying on social media for schedules, news, and team info. The goal was a site that felt like a flagship product for the brand, not a template.

UX Approach

I started with the content model: what does a fan need, and in what order? Schedule and scores first, then roster, then news, then merchandise. The information architecture was built around fan behavior rather than organizational structure.

Design Decisions

Content hierarchy driven by fan intent

The homepage surfaces the next game prominently — date, opponent, and a clear 'Get tickets' CTA. Scores and standings are one tap away. Everything else (news, history, sponsors) is secondary.

Navigation labels in fan language

Navigation uses 'Tickets', 'Schedule', 'Team', 'News' — not 'Events', 'Calendar', 'Roster', 'Media'. Small wording decisions that reduce cognitive load for casual fans.

Responsive content patterns

Player cards, match cards, and news cards all have defined content patterns — what information appears, in what order, at what viewport. Consistency across surfaces makes the site feel intentional.

Outcome

A full digital platform launched for the 2025 season. Consistent content hierarchy and clear navigation gave the franchise a professional digital home that matched the quality of the brand.
