Website and local SEO for a Detroit institution. Menu, ordering, and location content designed to reduce friction for walk-in and online customers searching for the 8 Mile location.

The 8 Mile location had no web presence despite being a well-known Detroit institution. Customers couldn't find accurate hours, menus, or ordering options online. The gap was costing them walk-in traffic that originated from local search.
A restaurant website has one job: answer what's available, how much it costs, where you are, and when you're open. I structured the site around those four questions, with the menu and ordering flow as the primary calls to action.
The menu is structured as categorized cards, not a scanned image or PDF. Items show name, description, and price at a glance. Category tabs (Fish, Chicken, Sides, Drinks) let users jump to what they want.
The location page uses structured data: address, hours, phone number, and a map embed. Page titles and meta descriptions match how people actually search ('JJ Fish 8 Mile Detroit'). Google Business Profile was aligned with site data.
On mobile, an 'Order now' button is pinned to the bottom of the screen on every page. The highest-intent action is always one tap away regardless of where the user is.
The copy uses direct, unpretentious language that fits a Detroit carry-out institution. 'Fresh. Fast. Detroit.' captures the brand in three words. The tone is consistent across every page.
The 8 Mile site launched with proper local SEO, a scannable menu, and working online ordering. The restaurant gained a digital presence that matched the quality of their in-store experience.
